Utah Home Finder
Northern Utah’s housing market is seeing a
big turnaround. So big, in fact, that Weber
County has had the strongest improvement
in home sales among all of Utah’s population
centers, according to new data from the Utah
Association of Realtors.
So far this year, home sales in Weber County
have increased more than 21 percent compared
to last year — that’s the strongest performance
among all of Utah’s counties (excluding the less
populated ones where smaller samples sizes
tend to cause large fluctuations in the percentage
changes).
From January through August, Northern Utah
Realtors sold 2,026 homes, townhomes and condominiums,
representing a 21.3 percent increase
from last year’s 1,670 sales. That’s significantly
stronger than the statewide average, which represented
a 12.5 percent increase during the same
time period.
